Autism Information and Advice Service for Derbyshire Count

My name is Tayler Simkins. I am writing to introduce myself as the Community Engagement Worker for the new Autism Information and Advice Service for Derbyshire County.

A pivotal part of my role would have been to deliver drop-in sessions at GP surgeries across Derbyshire County, however, given the recent COVID-19 pandemic, I am currently unable to safely do this. The drop-in services would have provided those identifying as part of Derbyshire’s Autism Spectrum Condition community with an opportunity to receive face-to-face support and would have provided a platform for the deliverance of Autism-related information and advice.

In spite of current circumstances, it is essential that we still are able to support our ASC community through as many means as possible. In order to do this, we have created a short video that outlines what our service offers and details how to get in contact with us
