Urgent Care Team

At Horizon Healthcare, our Urgent Care Team provides same-day assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of acute medical conditions.

Appointments are offered with the most appropriate clinician to ensure patients are seen as quickly as possible.

Who you may see

You may be seen by a range of highly trained clinicians working within our urgent care team.

All clinicians are qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat medical conditions, including prescribing medication where appropriate.

This includes:
• Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP)
• Nurse Practitioners
• Paramedics with advanced training

All clinicians work within their scope of practice and have access to GP support where needed.

Seeing the most appropriate clinician allows us to offer faster access to care and ensures GP appointments remain available for more complex conditions.

ℹ️ Why might I see this team instead of a GP?

Many same-day medical problems can be safely and effectively managed by our Urgent Care Team.

This helps you to be seen more quickly and ensures GP appointments are available for more complex conditions.

If needed, a GP will always be involved in your care.
