Medical research helps improve the way we prevent, diagnose and treat illness. Many of the medicines, vaccines and treatments used today are only available because patients volunteered to take part in carefully regulated research studies.
By taking part in research, our patients have the opportunity to contribute to improving healthcare for future generations while, in some cases, gaining access to new treatments, technologies or ways of managing long-term conditions.
Participation is always completely voluntary. Choosing not to take part will never affect the care or treatment you receive from Horizon Healthcare.
