Support is available for children, young people and adults with autism, with or without a formal diagnosis.
You do not need to see a GP to access many of these services.
Neurodiversity Hubs
Neurodiversity (Neuro) Hubs provide support for children and young people (up to age 25) and their families.
You can access support without a referral or diagnosis.
They offer:
- Advice and guidance
- Drop-in sessions
- One-to-one support
- Group sessions and workshops
- Help before and after diagnosis
There is a Derby hub based at the St James Centre.

If you have a diagnosis of autism, you may be able to access support through Derby City Council.

- A Care Act assessment
- Support planning
