Use of Third-Party Services
To help us deliver the best possible care, Horizon Healthcare may need to share information (where appropriate) with other NHS organisations, such as local hospitals or other GP practices.
In addition, we use a small number of carefully selected third-party service providers to support the running of the practice. Where these providers process data on our behalf, we always have formal agreements in place to ensure:
- Your data is kept safe and secure
- Information is only used in line with our instructions
- The provider meets strict standards of confidentiality and data protection
Examples of the services these providers may deliver include:
- IT systems and support (including our core clinical system)
- Patient-facing services (such as our website and online services)
- Appointment booking and electronic prescription services
- Secure data hosting and storage
- Document management and dictation/letter processing systems
- Payment processing (e.g. if you request a private letter or report)
